OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS

Online:
  • Current students and alumni with a Yale NetID order by signing in through the Student Information System (SIS), clicking on “Academic Information,” and selecting “Transcript Orders.”
  • Alumni and former students unable to sign in to SIS will order directly through the Parchment website.

Your written and signed request must include:

Full Name
Date of Birth
Student ID Number (SID), if available
School at Yale (Yale College or Graduate School of Arts and Sciences)
Class year or year of graduation
Dates of Attendance
Number of transcripts requested
Whether each transcript should be individually sealed in its own envelope.
Address to which you would like each transcript sent

In person: 

Submit a signed request with the appropriate payment to the University Registrar’s Office at 246 Church St., 3rd floor. M-F 8:30-4:30.

Payment

Payment for the full amount of your transcript order must be received before it can be processed. Checks must be payable to “Yale University” and drawn in U.S. dollars on a U.S. bank. Currently enrolled students have the option of charging their student accounts. We accept credit card payments only for online transcript requests.

Express Delivery to U.S. address – $12 extra per address
Express Delivery to Canada/Mexico – $25 extra per address
Express Delivery to other international address – $45 extra per address
(note: overnight delivery not available to all international locations due to customs regulations)

UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT

If you need an unofficial transcript, go to the Student Information System (sis); choose the “Academics” tab and click on the link for Yale Degree Audit. There, you can print out your “Course History Report” which is the most comparable document Yale has to an unofficial transcript.

ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION

Enrollment verifications for students in Yale College and in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences can be requested by mail, fax, email, or in person at 246 Church Street using a Request For Enrollment Verification (PDF) form. Allow 3–5 days for processing and mailing. Students on non-disclosure must submit a signed request.

DEGREE VERIFICATION

Current students and alumni of Yale College and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences can request verifications from our office using a Request For Degree Verification (PDF) form. After your request is received, it is generally processed and sent in 3-5 business days. Organizations and third party requestors performing background checks or verifying degrees must submit their request online through the National Student Clearinghouse.

NOTE: Requests for any type of verification will not be taken by phone and verification will not be provided by phone.
