Do you love teaching, working with kids, and building a community? The Ulysses S. Grant Foundation is hiring Yale student teachers for its 2025 summer program! Established in 1953, U.S. Grant is a six-week academic enrichment program for highly-motivated New Haven public middle school students. Working alongside experienced veteran educators, teachers design and teach their own curriculum and collaborate closely with fellow Yale undergraduates. This is a paid position with substantial opportunities for professional development, including weekly seminars centered around curriculum development.
Teachers will be compensated with a $6,000 stipend for a seven week commitment in the summer of 2025. Teachers will be expected to attend a one-week training in New Haven from June 16th - June 22nd, and then teach Monday through Friday from June 23rd - July 30th. Applications will close on January 27th at 11:59 pm EST.
